Coach Ranjbar
Co-Owner, and Head Coach Ramin Ranjbar has been passionate about sports from a young age, excelling in cycling, soccer, and volleyball. His interest in martial arts was sparked by childhood wrestling matches with his strong, athletic older brother, and a father who was an old-school boxer. In fact, Mr. Ranjbar often jokes that his early desire to learn Taekwondo stemmed from the simple goal of finally winning a bout against his brother! At the age of 9, in 1992, Mr. Ranjbar began his Taekwondo journey and trained until 15. At 17, he moved to the United States and, by 21, had settled in Saline, Michigan, where he rekindled his passion for Taekwondo. He joined the Saline School in 2005 and pursued his passion for martial arts while also studying human movement, sports medicine, kinesiology, and massage therapy. During his college years, he balanced teaching martial arts with restaurant work, developing skills in customer service and stress management. In 2017, Mr. Ranjbar expanded his business ventures by acquiring Sapphire Therapeutic Spa. Over the years, he has consistently earned titles in regional, national, and world Taekwondo tournaments, becoming a multiple-time state champion in sparring, forms, and combat weapons. He has also ranked in the top 10 at the ATA World Championships and serves as an international judge. Mr. Ranjbar takes pride in teaching students of all ages, especially training them in sparring, his favorite discipline. Outside of martial arts, he enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. With decades of experience, Mr. Ranjbar is dedicated to helping others reach their full potential through Taekwondo. |
